Michael Joseph Bolger Obituary
Michael Joseph Bolger

June 20, 1927 - September 21, 2013

Mike, age 86, was born in New York City, was a Marine veteran of WWII serving in China, and lived in Los Angeles where he raised his family; Rogue River, Oregon during retirement and finally, Bellevue, WA. He was truly a self-made man living his life as an adventure. He loved hard work (as well as fishing) and took pride in a job well done. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dolores, sister Patricia (Joe), sons Pat (Sue), Tom (Nancy), Sean (Krista), and daughter Dorothy (Mike); 7 grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Michelle, Katie, Allie, Zarkhi, Gavin and 3 great-grandchildren, Nayeli, Alani, and Riley. Mike was a spirited, devoted, and proud Irish Catholic family-man who offered everyone he met a twinkling smile, a hearty handshake and a good story. He was known for his wit, candor and feisty sense of humor and for his generosity to family and friends. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. A celebration honoring Mike's life will be held on the Rogue river June 21, 2014. Contact dorothymu@gmail.com if you would like to be a part of the celebration.
