Cesily Crowser Obituary
A "Celebration of Life" for Cesily Michelle (McWashington) Crowser will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Madrona Grace Presbyterian Church, 832 - 32nd Avenue, Seattle, Washington, 98122. Guests are invited to wear purple (her favorite color) or red for GoRed for Women. Cesily, a heart survivor passed away in Seattle on February 22, 2014.
Cesily was a Parent Education Instructor at North Seattle Community College. She attended schools in Seattle including St. Edwards, The Epiphany School, and Holy Names Academy. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1987 and from Occidental College in 1991. Cesily was currently pursuing a Masters Degree at the University of Southern California.
Cesily loved working with people and was an active member of many community organizations, including the board of the People's School for Positive Education in Ghana, Africa. Her previous affiliations also included Jack & Jill of America, Inc. and the Links, Inc.
Cesily delighted in being spokesperson for The American Heart Association's GoRed for Women. Her message was to encourage women to get heart healthy and to "put yourself first."
Cesily is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jerald; two children, Victoria and Phillip; her parents, Ammon McWashington and Deloria Jones Jackson and her brother, Ammon Shawn McWashington and many loving family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 1-5 PM at Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Avenue, NE, Renton, WA 98056.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the "fbo Victoria and Phillip Crowser" account, c/o Seattle Bank, 2827 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121.

I remember so clearly meeting Cesily at Holy Names. Her spirit, warmth and smile made a difference to me in 1983 and continued throughout our years at Garfield and beyond. You are remembered in my prayers .

To Cesily's family, I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing. I first met Cesily in PEPS group when Victoria and our Claire were babies together - 18 years ago! I can picture Cesily so well, relating Victoria's most recent escapade with a huge smile. Cesily always brought a great attitude which was infectious - she really helped our group focus on the daily joys of early parenthood. Dear Jerald, Mr. McWashington, and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Sorry to know about Cesily's passing. I've known her for a few years but connected again at the Go Red Luncheon in 2012 as a speaker and an advocate for heart diseases. She spoke with compassion and grace about her family, the love of God and how important it is to be present in the lives of your family, friends and colleagues. What a beautiful soul.

I would have loved to attend all your gatherings, but just couldn't with my own health the way it is right now. I did not know Cesily as grown up. I just remember her as a sweet little girl. I learned that her sweet nature was still a part of her character today. I see she was loved by many. I only knew Cesily for a brief time (she was a parent educator at my son's preschool co-op (North Seattle Fives). But she was such a bright light and so wonderfully calm and helpful to our children and especially to us as parents. She will be greatly missed. I'm thankful I was able to attend the amazing service today. It was truly a beautiful outpouring celebrating a beautiful life.

I'm so sorry to hear about Cesily. She was my parent educator at Meadowbrook 3-5's. I was the Chair and I worked a lot with Cesily that year. It was a tough year and I remember Cesily was always upbeat and enthusiastic.
