Earl H. Carpenter Obituary
Earl H. Carpenter

Earl H. Carpenter, 75, passed away March 5, 2014, with his family by his side in Kirkland, WA, following a 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Earl was born in Bryan, Texas to Earl and Maurine "Nina" Carpenter. Earl enlisted in the U.S. Navy when he was 17 years old. He joined the Seattle Fire Department in 1961, where he proudly served for 28 years. He was affiliated with Stations 10, 16, and 31.

Earl enjoyed camping and fishing, but his true passion was golf. He loved playing at Echo Falls Golf Course in Snohomish, and proudly told of the day at age 61 when he drove the green on a 340-yard hole.

Earl is survived by his adoring wife of 41 years, Bonnie; brothers, Gerald "Bit" Carpenter and Donald "Dude" Payne; sister Tina Priesmeyer; three daughters, Theresa Britt, Tina Thomas, and Deanne McDonald; one son, Brandon Warren; seven grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. Earl had many loyal friends over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his grandson, Travis Britt.
