Gene L. Adams|
Gene L. Adams, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Seattle March 9, 2014. Gene was born raised in Riverside, Idaho where he was the youngest of eight children. At 17 he joined the U.S. Navy serving on the USS California and was part of occupying forces in Japan after the war ended. After WWII, Gene moved to the Seattle area where he raised his family. He was a life-long Liberal, Democrat and Teamster, working for Arden Farms and Darigold where he made many life-long friends. After retiring, he moved to Henderson, Nevada to enjoy the sun, golfing, swimming and traveling. In 2006 he returned to Seattle where he was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Gene is survived by daughters Karen Adams and Vickie Elliott; son-in-law David Elliott; and countless friends and family who were blessed to know him.
Gene touched the lives of many with his warm smile, kindness and generosity. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial to celebrate his life Sunday, April 6 at 1:30 pm at the White Center Eagles, 10452 15th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98146 (206) 248-1400.
