Gerald Weinstein

July 10, 1919 ~ March 31, 2014

Gerald (Jerry) Weinstein, the youngest of seven children, was born in Rochester, New York, to immigrant parents. He attended the University of Nebraska, obtaining his degree in engineering. He met and married his wife Edith there and moved to Seattle to work at Boeing during the war. He remained at Boeing until he left to form his own company, ELDEC. where he was president for 12 years. He returned to Boeing where he was involved with AWACS NATO and international sales. After his retirement from Boeing, he had an active consulting business.

Jerry was active at Temple Beth Am and was a member of the Glendale Country Club, where he was an avid golfer. He loved the arts, a longtime subscriber to the Seattle Symphony and the Pacific Northwest Ballet and was a loyal Husky and Seahawks fan.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 72 years, Edith, his daughters Marsha Weinstein and her husband

Michael Stevenson, Sidney Weinstein and her husband Randy

Nathan; grandchildren Alec

Weinstein Stevenson and Lauri Stevenson Ontso and granddaughter Eleanor Ontso.

He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

So sorry! Jerry and I feel we were so lucky to know Your dad Marsha. He added so much to our many shared holiday celebrations. We will sincerely miss him. Our hearts are with you and your mom and your family in your loss. He was a cool guy!
