Eileen Sue Rossman

Eileen Sue Rossman died April 5, 2014 after a 19 month battle with glioblastoma brain cancer in Seattle WA. Born in Enumclaw, WA on March 10, 1950 Eileen grew up in Portland, OR and graduated from North Catholic H.S. and Emanuel School of Nursing. In 1972 she joined the Peace Corps and served in the Fiji Islands for three years. This began her love of travel, different cultures and ethnic foods. Moving to Seattle in the late 1970's she was hired by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center as a bone marrow transplant nurse and worked there and continued with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for 38 years. She was loved and will be missed by her patients, co-workers, friends and family. She is missed already.

She is survived by her siblings, Richard, Roger, Joan Adams (Ron), Judy (Art), David (Cathy), nieces MaryJo Kessinger (Jim), Kristin and nephew, Joshua, and great nephews Parker and Harrison Kessinger and many friends. Her parents, Teresa and Richard Rossman preceded her in death.

Services with be at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Seattle on April 12th at noon. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to a favorite cause of Eileen-Seattle Cancer Care Alliance or the Ben and Catherine Ivy Center for Advanced Brain Treatment.
