Hallwyl Castle by Judy Joki
Linda, Heidi, John and Dan S.
May 29, 2019
Judy Joki lives on in our hearts, every time we look at her beautiful painting of Hallwyl Castle, Canton Aargau, Switzerland. Our mother Althea knew Judy from Ronald Church, and commissioned the painting sometime in the mid 1970's as a gift for our Swiss father, Fritz. Judy's masterpiece has adorned our living room as long as I can remember. Mom has already left for Heaven, and Dad is about to go too. He rests even now in bed, underneath his beloved painting of Switzerland that Judy created so many years ago. God bless you Judy, and thank you for your gift.

I was a patient of yours 17 years ago. I still remember how happy you where when your wife came up. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know I am late but I am praying for you and your family.

Dear Dr. Joki and family, I was so heartbroken to hear of your loss. I was a patient of yours and I remember you talking about your wife with such love and fondness. You spoke about how she had to take you on cruises so that you would actually leave work behind! It is so difficult to lose the matriarch of your family and I hope you know how many people care about you and your family. Much love, Erik, Elissa, and Aidan Casey.

Dr. Joki,
I'm so, so sorry for the loss of your wonderful and lovely Judith (Screws). She will be missed by people whose lives she touched, and family who will keep her memory alive and bright each day. As for you, please know you have made a lot of families happy with their little ones. Please stay strong and healthy and happy because you are our Dr. Joki whom we love very, very much!

Jim, I did not know Judi well but it was apparent she loved life, her family and most you. There's no real way to say how sorry I am for your loss, but I pray each day gets better for you. Take time to do the special things and most of all love your family. They are the closest connection to her. I miss you dear friend and wish you the best. Most sincerely, Becky Bussiere

Our hearts are heavy for the Family of Judith. They are the heaviest for Dr.Joki. With how dedicated you are to the people you work with, we know your dedication was greater to your wife. We know that she was an amazing lady by all that you have said about her. For All of Judith's Family, "Keep living life just as you have with times to pause and cry, she would have wanted it that way."

I can already see Aunt Judi coming into the kitchen during our summer visits, giving me a big hug, drinking a coffee with me as we catch up during our summers home. It just will not be the same without her there, and we are shocked and saddened to hear of her passing.
There will be so many little things - the fragrance of the pikake flower that she loved, memories of life in the South that we shared - that will continue to remind me of her. Dale and I, along with Alex and Theo (whom we wish that Aunt Judi could have met), will cherish the memories we have of you, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to be part of your family.
Sending love from the Philippines.
