Mele "Bogie" Bogovich

Mele "Bogie" Bogovich passed away on June 1, 2014. He was born in Clinton, Indiana on February 2, 1925 where he graduated high school in 1943. Bogie joined the Navy in June 1943 serving on the USS Pennsylvania in the Pacific. He was a Yeoman First Class and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married Paula Bogovich on August 21, 1949 and they were married for 65 years. He graduated the University of Washington in 1951 with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration and was part of the Husky Football Team for 2 seasons which lead him to be a proud season ticket holder for the next 63 years. Bogie was a member of the Rainer Golf and Country Club for over 40 years where he held various board positions including Club President in 1976 and was awarded Man of the Year in 1978. Bogie was a successful entrepreneur who loved and supported his family and friends. We miss him very much but are comforted to know he is now with his wife Paula and in the love of a higher spirit.

Bogie is survived by his brother in law Bill Grotjahn, nieces and nephew Julie, Cathy and Dave along with their spouses Randy and Lynn. His grand nieces and nephews Kelly, Eric, Jennifer, Jeff, Danny and Nick. His brother in law Clyde Tyler and children Dennis and Beverly. His friend Roger Lorge who was instrumental in his care.
