Timothy Keil Obituary

Timothy G. Keil

Born June 24, 1953, taken from us on Feb. 14, 2015. Tim was born to Jerry Keil and Joan MacDonald Keil, brother to Heidi Richards-Keil, Rebecca Keil and Toby Keil. Grandson of Betty MacDonald, author of 'The Egg and I' and 'Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle.' Tim is survived by his wife Mary Jo, his children Kallyn, Jerrica, Angie and Michael, and his grandchildren Riese, Dane, Connor, Evie and Parker. Resident of Freeland, Tim enjoyed exploring Whidbey with his wife and dogs, cheering for the Seahawks, spending time with his family and fishing. Tim was active with his church, volunteering with Seattle's needy, and mentoring people in search of sobriety. His vibrant personality is missed, but lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. Please join us in celebrating his unique life at Trinity Lutheran Church, 18341 Washington 525, Freeland, WA on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 1:00pm.

Dear MaryJo and family, we were so saddened to hear about Tim's passing. Our memories of him, though brief, were of a wonderful, humourous and loving man. We are thinking of you and Connor, especially since we know how close they were and to lose your grandfather at such a young age is heartbreaking. Take care of your selves in your time of mourning.

I grew up looking up to my wonderful second cousin Tim. He was always warm, friendly and open and so glad to see us. He was a wonderful support to my family through some very hard times. I am so sad that I had to miss his service today but I'm sure it was wonderful. Much love to Mary Jo, kids and grand kids, Heidi and Toby, and all the lives he touched through his mentorship and outreach. xo Kathryn Rogers Portteus

Tim was the heart and soul of his family. Loving husband, father and the ultimate best grandfather (Papa Tim). His hugs were always so heart felt and his joy in his life with his family was always so evident.
He will be missed. My grandson Connor, lost the best "Grandpa" a child could every hope to have. Love to you MaryJo, Kallyn, Jerrica, Mike and Angie and all of Tim's , freinds and family, who were so fortunate to have this wonderful and loving man in your lives.

I will miss this giant of a man. He had smiles that always made my day better and he gave hugs that were genuine and warm.
The pride and love he had for his family beamed from every part of him and you couldn't help but feel such love when he spoke about them. It was a special gift that I was able to know this man and call him friend.
My love and prayers go out to the family... especially MaryJo. Love you.

I was so saddened to hear this news. I met Tim about 20 years ago and always enjoyed his company. My condolences to Mary Jo and all of Tim's children and grandchildren. I know he was immensely proud of you all.
