Obituary Condolences

Sally Milnor McAuliffe CUNNINGHAM Our beloved mother passed away peacefully on April 3, 2003 as God needed her by his side. Sally was born in Tacoma, WA. on June 22, 1914 the seventh of eight children to Capt. Walter S. Milnor born in Maryland and Virginia Milnor born in Ireland. She was a graduate of Holy Names Academy and Holy Names College in Spokane. She met her beloved husband Eugene McAuliffe in Spokane, WA. where they started their family of five children across Spokane to Seattle. Preceded in death by Eugene McAuliffe and Cy Cunningham; also three sisters and two brothers. Survived by he loving and devoted children, Sister Rosaire McAuliffe O.P., James McAuliffe (Jill), Sallyjean Shea (Michael), Patricia Colwell (Bill), Michael McAuliffe (Marsha), and dear Sister Irene Walker, O.P., brothers Brent Milnor of Mt. Zion, IL. and William Milnor of Sun City, Arizona. She has fourteen grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Joanne, Karen, John, Richard, Daniel, Mark, Virginia Kelly, Timothy, Ashley, Eugene, Karen and Michael and sixteen great-grandchildren. Sally enjoyed a rewarding career with Pacific Northwest Bell for 27 years. She retired as a liaison for retired employees in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. She also acted as representative of the company for various local charities such as Group Homes for Girls. She was hostess for many company events including Pioneer Club events at Longacres. She also hosted a Telephone Co. television show weekly for three months in the fifties. She was a high school recruiter for the company as well as an employment interviewer. Sally was a talented artist and a wonderful cook. We all loved her homemade breads, pies and fudge. She was beautiful, kind and generous with a wonderful sense of humor. Sally was the Mother of Mothers and we shall miss her forever. Special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center of Bothell for their nurturing and loving care for several years. A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, April 8 at 7 p.m. in Beck's Garden Chapel, 405 - 5th Ave. S., Edmonds, followed by a Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10100 - N.E. 192nd Street, Bothell, WA. Interment, Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, Shoreline, WA. Memorials may be given to the Family Kitchen, c/o Jill McAuliffe, 22525 - S.E. 57th, Bothell, WA 98021.
