Elva Flora Cree
SEDALIA — Elva Flora Cree, 76, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born August 30, 1937, in Edwards, MO, daughter of Percy and Mary Ellen Burns Wills. On June 4, 1960, in Miami, OK, she married Norman Burl Cree, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Cree was the bookkeeper for the family business, Cree's Tree Service, for 30 years. She also worked at Swift & Co. in earlier years. Elva's greatest love was her family. She loved doing things for her kids, grandkids and nieces, and caring for her husband. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two children: Tammy Price, and her husband, Alan, of Sedalia, and Tommy Cree, and his wife, Beth, of Kansas City; three grandchildren: Addie, Lexie and Tori; and three siblings, Kletis Wills, Belva Box and Virgie Price, all of Sedalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home, with Mr. Jeremy Howard officiating.
Casket bearers will be Addie Cree, Lexie Cree, Tori Price, Debbie Woodall, Terrie Blankenship and Sheree Mieir. Honorary bearers will be Jim and Rita Fairfax, and Tom and Mary Canon.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Heckart Family Center.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Children's Therapy Center, or to Jeremy and Melissa Howard, c/o Biblical Ministries Worldwide, 1595 Herrington Rd., Lawrenceville, GA 30043.
