Salecki, Tadeusz* - Warrensburg  
Tadeusz Salecki WARRENSBURG — Tadeusz "Tad" Salecki, 92, formerly of Sedalia, passed away on Monday, December 15th, 2014 at Western MO Medical Center, Warrensburg. He was born on February 24, 1922 in Fall River, MA to polish immigrants, Jan and Felicia Salecki. Tad was the youngest of eight children. After serving in the Merchant Marine as a Chief Pharmacist's Mate from 1941 to 1946, Tad joined the Marine Corps. He retired in San Diego, CA in 1969 as GySgt. He liked to share his stories about his overseas stations with USMC in Guam, Subic Bay Philippines, and Okinawa. In the U.S. his duty stations took him from coast to coast. But in 1976, Tad found his true home when he moved to central Missouri. Tad married Elsie Ann Swiderski on December 31, 1949. Together they had five sons and a daughter. Elsie preceded him in death in 1976. Tad was lucky in love again, marrying Mildred Gregory Yunt on June 8, 1979. Mildred also preceded him in death in 2008. Tad will be remembered for his generous spirit. He enjoyed teaching and playing card games with family and friends. He was a football and basketball fan, adopting MO Tigers as a favorite team. He is survived by four sons, two stepsons and a daughter; Eric Salecki of Chesapeake, VA, Ted Salecki of Eureka Springs, AR, Jason Salecki of Tempe, AZ, Joe Salecki of Versailles, MO, Terry Yunt and wife Mary of Warrensburg, MO, Larry Yunt of Sedalia, MO, Jackie Haeg and husband Brent of Tempe, AZ; his niece, Norma Ferraer of Sedalia, MO; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Salecki. At Tad's request, there will be no services. Serving the family, Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Smith, Gary Lester*  
Gary Lester Smith SEDALIA — Gary Lester Smith, 75, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at his daughter's home in Sedalia. He was born November 11, 1939, in Sedalia, son of Vera Keith Petty (later Claas) and George Lester Smith. He graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1957 and served in the U. S. Navy. He worked for Kitty Clover and Guy's in potato chip sales, performed with his band Gary Smith and The Sundowners at Smith's Country Music Barn and was an antique dealer. Mr. Smith was a member of the Mason Granite Lodge 236 A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed telling stories with his friends, visiting with the girls at North 65 Café, going to auctions and collecting antiques, playing cards, listening to and playing good ole country music, fishing, and hunting. He loved sports, especially softball and baseball, and he truly loved going to activities involving his grandchildren. His rhymes and classic statements will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children Matthew Smith (Desiree) and Carmen Smith; his grandchildren, Sadie Reeser, Michael Smith, Zane Reeser and Jack Benton; and his sister, Marilyn (Dale) Anderson, all of Sedalia. He was preceded in death by his sons Gary Smith, Jr. and Grant Smith; a sister Barbara Bunch, and Virginia (Tina) Kindle Smith, wife. Honorary Pallbearers are Julie Bunch, Lauren Burns, Jana Sprinkle, Malinda Snyder (Rocky Jett), Darian Weeks, Kerry Pyle, Jeff Arnwine, Tom Beck, Larry Callis, Don Thornton, Tom Darrah, Junior Jeffries and Jack McMurdo. Services will be Saturday, December 20, at 2:00 p.m., at Heckart Funeral Home with the Rev. Corbett Martin officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Shriner's Hospital.

Alice Stucker STOVER — Alice Stucker, age 78, of Stover, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover. She is survived by three sons, Randy (Nancy) Stucker of Sedalia; Dean Stucker of Stover and Marcus (Keelie)Stucker of Plattsburg; seven grandchildren, Jordan (husband Joe), Tim, Jay (fiancée Megan), Seth, Sam, Logan and Cameron and three great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Carter and Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stucker, her parents, Audrey and Effie Anduss Gerlt, and one brother, Kenneth Gerlt. The family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover, with a graveside service immediately following in the Stover Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Oaks Indian Mission, Memorial Program, Oaks, Oklahoma 74359. Arrangements are under the direction of the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
