Doris "Pauline" Guier, age 87, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born October 8, 1926, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Hosea and Emogene (White) Kendall.
On February 27, 1944, Pauline was united in marriage to Edmund Junior Guier in Sweet Springs, MO. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1988. Later she married W. Leonard Cotter in Weslaco, TX. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2003.
Pauline was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School. She was a former member of the Sweet Springs Baptist Church and La Monte Baptist Church. Pauline volunteered for the Red Cross in Weslaco, TX, and loved playing bridge and other card games.
She is survived by four sons, David Guier and wife Bonnie of Warsaw, MO, Steven Guier and wife Sharon of Sweet Springs, MO, George Guier and wife Sheila of Sedalia, MO, and Bruce Guier and wife Svetlana of Panama City Beach, FL; three brothers, Claude Kendall and wife Mary of Mound City, MO, Ronnie Kendall and wife Carol of Anderson, TX, and Russell "Crackers" Kendall of Wathena, KS; two sisters, Patty Gorbet of Blue Springs, MO, and Sharon Jones of St. Joseph, MO; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pauline was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jim, Wayne, and George Kendall; one sister, Beverly Sue Kendall; and one daughter in-law, Barbara Jean Guier.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Sweet Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Jim West officiating. Pallbearers will be Wesley Guier, Mitchell Guier, Nick Whitney, Joe Gould, Ronald Dove, and Daniel Dysart. Honorary pallbearers will be Pauline's granddaughters.
Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs, MO. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013, at the Moore Funeral Home in La Monte, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the
