Lorene Miller, 96, of Higginsville, Missouri, formerly of Knob Noster, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.
Lorene was born January 8, 1916, in Edwards, Missouri, daughter of Elbert and Minnie (Greene) Bybee. She was united in marriage to Everett C. Miller on January 7, 1933 in Knob Noster. The couple made their home in Knob Noster for many years. She was employed at the Shoe Factory in Warrensburg at one time. Later, Lorene was a cook at "The Office" restaurant in Knob Noster for several years. She had resided in Higginsville since 1983. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Knob Noster for over 50 years. Lorene also loved tending to her flowers and crocheting.
Survivors include her son: Robert "Wayne" Miller of Higginsville, MO; daughter-in-law: JoAn Miller of Higginsville, MO; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett on May 19, 2002; her son: Charles on October 9, 2012; daughter-in-law: Donna Miller and two brothers: Loren Bybee and Lowell Bybee.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at First Christian Church of Knob Noster, with Reverend David Jordan officiating.
Interment: will follow in the Knob Noster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg.
