Greta Case Obituary
She was born April 24, 1931, in Stover, a daughter of Albert J. and Maurine V. Welpman Fajen. On April 17, 1954, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover she married Donald Case, who survives at their home.
She was valedictorian of her Stover High School graduating class and a graduate of Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg with a degree in education.
She taught music and art at St. Paul's Lutheran School and retired from the Morgan County R-I school district as the home economics teacher.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was music teacher and choir director for more than 45 years.
She is also survived by three children, Jeffrey (Patti) Case, Paducah, Kentucky; Julie (Mike) Kern, Grover, Missouri and Leslie (Donnie) Stubblefield, Plainfield, Illinois; one brother, Michael (Linda) Fajen, Savannah, Georgia; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 19, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stover with Pastor Cecil Murdock officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5:00-7:30 P.M. Thursday, June 18, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or School.

Greta made such an impression on me as a home ec teacher, not only was she interesed in each of us, but she wanted us to do our best, no matter what we did. She was a positive role model to all of us as well. I am sad at her loss. My prayers are with each of you that are struggling through this time.

To Donald and Family, So sorry to lose Greta Gale. I have not seen Greta or you Don since High School, but I remember well. She was a beautiful woman, and I always thought you were a lucky puppy to capture her. Keep smiling if you can. May the peace of the Lord be with you and the Fajens.
