Michael Smith Obituary
Michael was born on December 31, 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Cheri Smith and Michael Buford. He was attending State Fair Community College, majoring in welding.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two children: Jordan Lawson and Kaidynce Smith, both of Sedalia; his mother, Cheri Smith of Sedalia; his father, Michael Buford of Columbia, Missouri; significant other, Tiffany Schoen; five brothers: Damon Buckner and Terrell Smith both of Sedalia, Marcus Buford, Mathew Buford and Michael Baker all of Marshall, Missouri; six sisters: Donease Smith of Cordova, Tennessee, Tanaeia Smith of Sedalia, Genevieve Buford, RaeDawn Buford and Shadaryl Bassett all of Columbia and Channcey Baker of Jacksonville, Florida; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Thomas F. McCormick, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 to 2pm at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Alexander-May Funeral Home in Sedalia.

I was Stunned when I received that phone call last Sunday...and though my heart is Greatly Saddned I feel better knowing that Mike Mike is in a better place.When I lived in Sedalia Mike Mike was like a Brother to me and some of my favorite memories include him.I will never forget that Smile!My prayers go out to the Family and Friends who are suffering from this terrible loss...Damon keep your head up,and be strong,Althoug we may not understand why,Everything happens for a reason.RIP Mike Mike,I'll never forget you.
