Linda S. (Waterfield) Dorrance, 66 of Sedalia passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1947 in Boonville, MO, a daughter of Eugene and Ilene (Spry) Waterfield.
On April 29, 1970 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Nolan "Bill" Dorrance, who preceded her in death on June 29, 2011.
She enjoyed playing golf and Mahjogg. Her true passion was reading. She was a member of the Jewish Synagogue Temple BethEL in Sedalia, Beta Sigma Phi Chapter Master Nu Alpha and Women of the Moose Lodge 1494.
She is survived by a daughter, Crystal (Morgan) Meyer of Sedalia; a granddaughter, Sara Meyer (Andrew Jones) of Sedalia and a grandson, Joseph Meyer of Cole Camp; a great granddaughter, Kylie Jones; a niece, Jill McCann of Florida; a nephew, Joe McCann of California; an uncle, Emmette Cox, of Windsor and many cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon McCann and a brother, Larry Waterfield.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Ed Broyles officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the chapel.
Burial will be in Dresden cemetery.
