Anna Mae Jackson

1914 - 2009

Anna Mae Jackson, age 94, of Sedalia, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Fair View Nursing Home.

She was born September 13, 1914, in Cooper County, a daughter of Herbert and Helena Rose (Weber) Hoff. On November 1, 1941, in Eldon, she was married to William Montgomery Jackson, who died July 2, 1979.

She was a graduate of Smith Cotton High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church where she served in the Altar Society and different church organizations. She worked at various retail stores in Sedalia throughout her working life. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and raising pigs with her husband.

Surviving are a son William Van Jackson & wife Mary, of Dallas, TX; two daughters Racene Ann Westermier, of Sedalia, and Janice Kay Jennings & husband Gail, of Green Ridge; a sister, Clara Mines, of Richmond; six grandchildren Bill Jackson, Amy Alexander & husband Shane, Julie Bersano & husband Mike, Dan Westermier & wife Marci, Annie Bright & husband Jason and Luke Jennings; 12 great-grandchildren, Katie, Laura, Jack, Zachery, Mia, Hannah, Kirah, Ashton, Bailey, Chance, Riley and Matthew. She was also preceded in death by one brother Herman Hoff; two sisters Gertrude Haller and Cecilia Gammon; and a son-inlaw Mat Westermier.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28th at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Father Linus Evers officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Jackson, Dan Westermier, Luke Jennings, Shane Alexander, Mike Bersano and Jason Bright. Burial will be in the Smithton Cemetery.

Friends may call at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
