Anna Marie Bucklew, age 83, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, November 24, 2009, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover, Missouri.
She was born in Mussel Fork, Missouri, on December 9, 1925, the daughter of James R. and Anna Barbara Kressig Thompson.
She grew up in Glasgow, Missouri and graduated from the Glasgow High School in the class of 1943. She then moved to Kansas City and was employed at the Lake City Arsenal during World War II. She attended Burroughs Business School and then began working as the cashier & bookkeeper for Meyer Jewelry for some twenty-three years. She held a Missouri Real Estate Agent license and sold retirement living residence plans at John Knox Village for several years. She finally retired in 1988 and later moved to Warsaw in August of 1999.
Anna Bucklew is survived by three daughters; Carol Scott, of Deepwater, Missouri, Barbara Fox, of Warsaw, Missouri, and Toni Meisberger, of Bangs, Texas. She also, leaves eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, one half-sister, Mildred Smith, of Moberly, Missouri, one brother, Maurice Thompson, of Phoenix, Arizona, other relatives and friends.
Grave Side Funeral Services and Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Abundant Harvest of Sedalia, Missouri, in care of the funeral home.
