Clyde Edward Norris, 73, of Hughesville, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at his daughter's home after a short battle with cancer. He was born on February 5, 1940, at San Diego, California, a son of Delbert and Beatrice (Chandler) Norris.
On July 9, 1992, in Truman Library in Independence, he was united in marriage to Marlene Jane McGuire Kanak, who preceded him in death on January 21, 2012.
Clyde was an Iron Worker, retiring from Local 10. He enjoyed driving modifieds on the local dirt tracks around the Sedalia-Marshall area, watching NASCAR and the Lucas Speedway races. He loved to go fishing with his buddies and turkey hunting.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fox Funeral Home.
