Delmar Otto Oetting, 83, of rural Concordia, MO, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Born July 12, 1929, in Concordia, he was the son of the late Emil C. Oetting and Hilda Holsten Oetting. On September 17, 1950, he married Vernetta Fischer who survives of the home. He was a dairy farmer and in later years worked as an elementary school janitor and for the Concordia Special Road District. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he served as an elder, trustee, usher and on various committees within the church, and was a member of the senior church choir and Men's Club.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, David Oetting of Independence, MO, Stanley Oetting and wife Kathryn of rural Concordia, Rose Marie Oetting Stewart and husband Daniel of Lee's Summit, MO and Tricia Baumer and husband David of Paducah, KY; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Oetting of Sedalia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
