Fredrick Paul Rialti
Fredrick Paul Rialti, 78, of Sedalia, died Monday, November 18, 2013, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
Born May 12, 1935 in Stockdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Fred and Ethel C. Astle Rialti. On October 13, 1956 he married Ruth E. Pfeiffer, who survives of the home. Also surviving are three daughters, Janice Ulmer (Steve), of Sedalia, Julie Allen, of Olathe, KS and Susan Staus (Harold), of Sedalia; a sister, Mary Anne Mantz (Gene), of Port Allegany, PA; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rialti, and a sister, who died in infancy.
Mr. Rialti was raised and educated in Port Allegany, PA. The family moved to Sedalia in 1947, and he attended St. Patrick's Grade School and Sacred Heart High School, graduating in 1953. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he directed the adult choir and was a song leader for many years. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, spending 18 months in Germany. He worked at Bichsel Jewelry, Pittsburgh Corning, Dugan Paint and Glass, John's Shoe Store, and for 36 years was the office manager at Menefee Construction Co., retiring in December of 1997. He was an Honorary Life Member of Sedalia Council 831 Knights of Columbus, Sedalia Elk's Lodge 125, and served as Exalted Ruler from 1976 to 1977 and as secretary for 12 years, and Sedalia Moose Lodge 1494. He was also a member of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association and the Sacred Heart Booster Club.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Betzen officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Ulmer, Harold Staus, Justin Ulmer, Danny Allen, Jack Allen, Austin Staus and Andrew Staus. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Sedalia Elk's Lodge 125 will conduct a ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. Memorial donations are suggested to the Sacred Heart Foundation, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
Rialti, Fredrick, 11:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Home.
