Harold Franklin Spinar, age 82, of Cole Camp, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013, at the Boone Hospital, Columbia, MO. He was born on February 14, 1932, in Redbird, Nebraska, son of the late Frank and Janie Witherwax Spinar.
At the age of 14, Harold chose to walk through life with God. On April 3, 1958, he married Hazel Cohee, who survives of the home.
He served his country honorably in the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954. Upon his return from Korea he began farming in Benton County and continued until his death.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Elvin Spinar and infant brother, Phillip Spinar and a sister, Betty June Spinar.
Harold is also survived by their five children, Dale (Glenda) Spinar, Duane (Barbara) Spinar and Dennis (Dulcy) Spinar, all of Cole Camp, MO, Linda (Jamie) Zambrano, Conway, Arkansas, and Karen (Loren) Forsberg, Dunnell, Minnesota, fourteen grandchildren, Dalene (Ryan) Magsam, Sonya (Josh) Cole, Tasha Spinar, Jason Spinar, Melissa (Jace) Chipperfield, Keith (Alexandra) Spinar, Coleen Spinar, Creed Spinar, Carmen Spinar, Gabriela Zambrano, Jaime Zambrano, Kyle Forsberg, Kalene Forsberg, and Latisha Forsberg, and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Ada Hartsock of Hamilton, MO, and a brother Harry Spinar of Sedalia.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO. Burial will be in the Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Windsor, MO. No visitation. Friends may call after noon Wednesday, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Laurel Oak Cemetery in care of the Davis-Miller Funeral Home, Lincoln, MO.
