Letha Marie Burnett, age 83, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, November 10, 2009, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri. She was born near Lincoln, Missouri, on October 14, 1926, the daughter of Henry Dick and Clara M. Luetjen Ebeling.
On November 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles Edwin Burnett at Cole Camp, Missouri. Following their marriage they made their home on a farm east of Lincoln.
She was baptized on December 28, 1926, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She was currently a member of the Black Oak Community Church and attended services at Mt. Pleasant Church on many occasions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Burnett on July 8, 1995.
She is survived by two sons; Charlie Burnett, and his wife, Beverly, and Ernie Burnett, and his wife Patty, all of Lincoln; two daughters, Hazel Gardner, and her husband, Roy, of Lincoln, and Linda Anderson, of Concordia, Mo.
Other survivors include nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Idena Spencer, of Urbana, Missouri; two half brothers, Kenneth Ebeling, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, and Wayne Ebeling, of Green Ridge, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Wyonetta Lutjen, of Warsaw; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday afternoon, November 13, 2009, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln. Burial will be in the Union-Williams Cemetery near Cole Camp, Missouri. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Union-Williams Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
