Mary Theresa (Cook) Ripley age 80, of Sedalia, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.
She was born on November 17, 1932 in Sedalia, a daughter of George A and Bertha Montgomery Cook. She graduated from Smithton High School. Theresa worked for the Smithton Bank and later for Third National Bank where she retired from. She is a member of the Lake Creek United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by one daughter; Cheryl Hofstetter (David), of Florence; one brother, Berton Cook (Betty), of Smithton; one sister, Debra Cook, of Sedalia; one sister-in-law, Lu Cook, of Harrisburg; three grandsons, Jeremy Hofstetter (Michelle), Seth Hofstetter (Jennifer), Scott Hofstetter (Rebecca); and one great-granddaughter, Emilia Hofstetter.
She was preceded by her parents and one brother; Hubert Cook.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Veale officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Hofstetter, Seth Hofstetter, Scott Hofstetter, Kelly Cook, Greg Cook, Doug Stark, Matt Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kami Stark and Shelli Martin.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday November 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Smithton Cemetery. You may leave condolences online at ewingschuttesemlerfh.com
