Philomena Marie Day, 98, of Boonville, formerly of Pilot Grove, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Lakeview Care Center in Boonville.
She was born September 6, 1914, in Clear Creek, MO to John and Anna Wessing Larm. She was married to Joseph Day on May 18, 1937, who preceded her in death. She worked at Pilot Grove School as a cook for many years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Altar Society.
Survivors include two daughters: Juanita Hill of Moberly; Janet Meyers (Darrell) of Sedalia; two sons: Earl Day (Mary Lou) of Boonville; and Vernon Day (Jacquelyn) of Boonville; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 13 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Geraldine Rush, one grandchild, and two son-in-laws: Cecil Hill and Dale Rush.
Funeral services for Ms. Day will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of the service.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Church or St. Peter and Paul Church.
