COLE CAMP — Ruth Ann Frances Harms, 69, of Cole Camp, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Good Samaritan Care Center, Cole Camp. She was born on October 7, 1944, on the family farm near Cole Camp, Missouri, a daughter of Martin Herman and Erna Mathilda (Holtzen) Harms.

Ruth Ann grew up as the second to the youngest in a family of twelve children, her father gave her the nickname, "Poncho." She attended grade school at Mora. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of rural Cole Camp; and was baptized on November 5, 1944.

She was one of God's special children who had a love for her family and friends. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Care Center since October of 2004, where she attended most activities and loved it when "Elvis" came to visit. She loved to go on outings in the "big blue van" with Barb. She was a member of the Breakfast Bunch, a group of residents that had breakfast at Classic's, and loved to look around town afterwards. She liked sitting in Gail's office eating Cheerios. Ruth Ann had many friends at the nursing home and knew just about everybody, both staff and fellow residents, by name. She enjoyed seeing lots of visitors, coloring, writing in her books, listening to music, and playing bingo and dominoes.
