Richard Carl Seevers (1947 - 2010)

Richard Carl Seevers, age 62, of Warsaw, passed away Tuesday evening, March 9, 2010 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born on May 3, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Oliver and Elizabeth Marie Seevers.

He grew up in Kansas City, moving to Arkansas in 1981, and to Warsaw in 1988. On August 15, 1969, he was inducted into the United States Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. He was discharged on August 13, 1971. He earned the National Defense, the Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal and Sharp Shooter Badges.

On September 18, 1980, he was united in marriage to Brenda Warren in Kansas City, Missouri. Unto this marriage, six daughters and one son were born.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Dorothy Seevers and two infant grandsons, Timothy and Daniel Seevers.

He is survived by six daughters, Tammie Partain, of Arkansas, Kimberly Morris, of Warsaw, Jacqueline Mitchell and Laurie Hardy, of Harrisonville, Carlena Trimal, of Knob Noster and Kellie Davis, of Sedalia, one son Dustin Seevers, of Warsaw, Twenty grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by Brenda Seevers, his former wife and long time friend, one brother, Oliver Seevers, of Warsaw and one sister, Beverly Young, of Texas.

Funeral Services & Military Honors for Richard C. Seevers will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the Reser Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Hinkle, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Messages of condolence may be made online at
