Diane Paxton, of Smithton, a daughter of Griffie H. and Jackie (Owens) Tolliver, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at University Hospital, Columbia.
She was married to Daniel Wayne Paxton, of Sedalia on September 22, 1997, who resides of the home.
She attended Smithton High School and worked for Lifepointe Baptist Church. She was very active in her church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and telling everyone she met about the love of Christ.
Besides her mother she is survived by three sons, Adam Thornton and his wife Tammie of Sedalia, Jed Thornton and his wife Jerilyn of Fort Huachuca, AZ, Noah Thornton and his wife Courtney of Houston, TX; one daughter, Christa Miller and her husband Austin of Sedalia; two brothers, Rick Tolliver and his wife Arlene of Sedalia, Jim Tolliver and his wife Terri of Blue Springs; two sisters, Carol McCandless and her husband David of Sedalia, Beth Huff and her husband Brian of Lee's Summit; four grandchildren, Haily, Gavin, Erilinne and Addison.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleene Tolliver and a son, Chad Thornton.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Tolliver officiating.
The family will have a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Lifepointe Church, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
