Leoncio Aquiles Perez-Sanchez, 57, of Sedalia, MO, joined the Kingdom of Heaven on February 9, 2013. He passed away peacefully at his sons' home in Kansas City, valiantly battling stage four lung cancer. After his diagnosis, Leo chose to forego Chemotherapy to experience a quality of life with his loved ones rather than a quantity of life.

Leo was born in Atengo, Jalisco, Mexico, a humble little town on the outskirts of Guadalajara, Mexico. He was the youngest son of Maria Guadalupe Sanchez de Perez and Manuel Perez Barrera. He worked in the restaurant industry, (including Sedalia's El Tapatio). owned a grocery store in Mexico, and worked at Tyson Food Inc. for the remaining years of his life.

He enjoyed spending time with his kids, watching his home-town soccer team, Chivas, riding horses, and cooking. He was loved and admired by many whose lives he touched with his generosity and kind-heartedness. Leo sacrificed all for his children, just to see them succeed.
