Harry Lester Blundell, 91, of Lincoln, MO passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013
at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, MO. He was born on August 10,
1921, in Kansas City, KS, a son of Harry Luther and Meda (Silvers) Blundell.
On February 2, 1943 in Kansas City, he was united in marriage to Dorotha
Dickson, who survives of the home.
Harry enjoyed living in the country, loved walking the hills with Dorotha and
mushroom hunting. He was a charter member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church,
Lee's Summit, MO. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy
during WWII, serving on the USS Sailfish Submarine.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, David Keith Blundell and his
wife Sandra of Gallatin, MO, Harry Lester Blundell and his wife Kathi of
Springdale, AR and James Luther Blundell and his wife JoAnna of Lincoln, MO;
eight grandchildren, Patrick, Janice, Timothy, Roger, David, Shelley, Amy and
Harrison; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Meda Scarlett and her
husband Irvin of Gardner, KS and Laura Beasley of Olathe, KS and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen McCubbins
and three brothers, Donald, Roy and Robert Blundell.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
