Larry Harlan passed away peacefully at Mt. Ogden Care Center on September 21, 2013. He was born on June 24, 1944 in Versailles, MO, to J.G. and Juanita Harlan.
He married Nancy Prigge on October 28, 1967. They have two children: Scott Harlan, of Granger, IA, and Stacy (Harlan) Todd, of Las Vegas, NV.
Larry worked in the printing industry for DOD for 36 years, starting his career in St. Louis, then moving to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and retiring from Hill Air Force Base in Roy, UT in 2002.
Larry enjoyed being active in his community, serving on the school board at Edgar Springs, MO, leading the Lion's Club in Edgar Springs, MO, and taking a very active role in his church, Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Roy, UT.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Harlan, his son, Scott Harlan (wife Melissa) and their children, Alex and Paige; his daughter, Stacy Todd (husband Justin) and their daughter, Megan; his brother, Bob Harlan, his brother, Richard Harlan, his twin sister, Linda McMullin, and his sister, Avanell Savage.
A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Roy, Utah, where he was a long-time member.
Cremation was done under the direction of Myers Roy Mortuary. He will be laid to rest at his hometown of Smithton, MO. Condolences can be left on the Myers Mortuary website; http://www.myers-mortuary.com
