Dorothy D. Wallhausen, 91, of Macon, GA, formerly of Sweet Springs, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Porterfield Health & Rehab in Macon, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in LaMonte Cemetery in LaMonte, MO. Memorials may be made to family choice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born August 5, 1922, in Windsor, MO, she was the daughter of the late Gussie Whittall and Pearl Mae Davis Whittall. She graduated from Sweet Springs High School. On June 9, 1942, in Sweet Springs, she married Raymond H. Wallhausen who preceded her in death on August 26, 1994. She worked at Falk Drug Store, International Shoe Company, Wallhausen Decorating Store and retired from Rival Manufacturing Company. She had lived in Sweet Springs most of her life, moving to Georgia in October of 2010. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was a former member of the Priscilla Guild and the Ladies Aid and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sweet Springs.
Survivors include two grandsons, Jerry Lee Jones and companion Sandy Dunn, and her son C.J. Dunn, of Macon, GA, and Scott Christopher Jones and wife Lesley, of Warner Robbins, GA; two great-grandchildren, Austin Blake Jones and Lauren Casey Jones.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Gail Miller; and two brothers, Junior Whittall and Perry Whittall.
