Chester Otto Hoefner

GREEN RIDGE — Chester Otto Hoefner, 89, of Green Ridge, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Fair View Nursing Home.

He was born March 12, 1928, in New Melle, MO, the son of Edwin E. Hoefner and Ella L. Heitman Hoefner.

Chester served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, reaching the rank of SP3. He was a lifelong dairy farmer.

Surviving are his friends, Lester Coleman, of Green Ridge, Shirley Kaiser, of Lockwood, Brenda Huser, of Sedalia, and James Coleman and Robert Coleman, both of Green Ridge, among many others.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Chaplain Bill Douglas officiating.

Casket bearers will be James Coleman, Robert Coleman, Larry Bailey, Bobby Estes, Adam Dove and Ron Miller.

Chester will be buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to American Red Cross.
