Elvia L (Catron) Wilson Vanderpool

SEDALIA — Elvia L (Catron) Wilson Vanderpool, 92, Sedalia, Mo died peacefully in her sleep December 24th, 2017 at Bothwell hospital in Sedalia, MO approx. 8:00am.

Born Jun 11, 1925 to the late Henry E Catron and Anna O (Jeffries) Catron at Brumley, Mo. She married Henry A Wilson Dec 11, 1942 who preceded her in death Dec 11, 2003. She married Ralph J Vanderpool Mar 6. 2007 who preceded her in death Dec 11, 2010.

Mrs Vanderpool was a member of the Christian Church and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She retired from the Department of Defense, Ft Leonard Wood, Mo June 1987.

Survivors are daughter Catherine J Martin and husband Jerry. Granddaughter Abby Elizabeth Wilson, Great Granddaughter Megan McCarty and husband Jonathan. Three Great Great Grandsons Isaac, Gabriel and Jonah McCarty. Step-children Jack Vanderpool and wife Ginny; Pat (Vanderpool) Weber and husband Ledru. Siblings Nate Catron and wife Cathy; Beverly Ann (Catron) Clark; Mary L (Catron) Neary. Siblings in-law Bonnie (Wilson) Jarrett and husband Archie; Jack Wilson and wife Lois; Melvin Black and wife Reda. Many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by brothers Donald L Catron, Charles W Catron and sister Lois D (Catron) Black.

Mrs Vanderpool and loved ones received many life saving medical procedures. She donated her body to the School of Medical Science in 1989. Donations may be made to Show Me Christian Youth Home or .

A Celebration of Life gathering will be planned late spring.
