James ?Jim? W. Davis, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, after battling a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Davis of Taylorsville, of 28 years; two stepsons, Michael (Tracy) Sloan of Arizona and Blake (Stacy) Sloan of Georgia; and a stepdaughter, Reagan Nation of Shelbyville and four grandchildren. His parents, Willard and Betty Holmes Davis, preceded him in death. Jim was a telephone technician for Bell South prior to his retirement. The family wishes to thank Baptist East Palliative Care, his doctors and staff as well as Baptist Home Health. At his request, no services will be held and cremation was chosen. Memorials may be given to Shannon?s Funeral Home in his name.
