Betty Hedges Obituary

Betty Carolyn Jones Hedges, 74, of Pleasureville, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at her residence. A native of Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late Ezra Thomas and Cleta Blanche Yeary Jones and the widow of Emmett Arnold Hedges. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald R. Jones. Survivors include her sons, Arnold Ray Hedges and Tommy Hedges, both of Pleasureville; daughter, Beverly Hedges Potter of Pleasureville; brother, Jimmy Jones of Frankfort; sister, Patty Reeves of Hanover, Ind. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville. Interment will be in the Shady Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Shady Lawn Cemetery or Shelby County Car Club's Coats for Kids.
