Ella Mae Spears Rearden, 50, of Bagdad died Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Spears Sr. and Dorothy Richardson Spears; brothers, Marion Allen Spears, Carl Sanford Spears, William Spears, Jr., and sister, Nancy Spears Hardin. She was survived by her husband, Frank Rearden, Bagdad; son, Richard Rearden, Bagdad; daughter, Diana Likes, New Castle; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Mary K. Lisby, Southville; Jean Sloan, Pleasureville; brother, Army Spears, Shelbyville and Jesse Earl Spears, New Castle. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Richardson, Edna Ruth Monroe - Taylorsville  
Edna Ruth Monroe Richardson, 82, of Taylorsville, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Norton Suburban Hospital Louisville. Born in Spencer County, she was the daughter of the late Claude Franklin and Rhoda Ellen Jewell Monroe, and the widow of Ophis Reed Chesser and Thomas Jefferson Richardson. Survivors include her sons, Jeff "Scott" Richardson of Taylorsville and Donald Chesser of Washington County; stepson, Darrell Richardson of Taylorsville; daughters, Bonnie Gooding, Diann Gaines, Claudine Gaddie and Marcia Vires, all of Taylorsville; stepdaughter, Sharon Curtsinger of Washington County; brothers, Claude Franklin Monroe Jr. and Harold O'Dell Monroe, both of Shelbyville; sisters, Dolly Rogers of Mount Washington, and Joyce Milburn of Mount Eden; and 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 26 at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville. Interment will be in the Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Bessie Wilson, 94, of Shelbyville, died on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. Born in Clark County, she was the daughter of the late Asa Dee and Anna Henry Baber, and the widow of Stanley Earl Wilson. Survivors include her son, Stan Wilson of Louisville; daughter, Alberta Dietrich of Shelbyville; brother, Glenn Baber of Monroe, Louisiana; sister, Evelyn Palmer of Winchester; and four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30 at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Agnes Booth Aldridge, 89, of Pleasureville, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at her residence. She was born in Lockport, and was the daughter of the late Robert Elliott and Carrie Violet Aldridge Booth. She is preceded in death by her husband, Emery K. Aldridge; a grandson, Stephen Kyle Aldridge; great-grandchild, Grace Aldridge; seven siblings, Corene McCann, Margaret McNees, Rosetta Cox, Hazel Snider, Lawrence Booth, Alvin Booth and Jimmy Booth. She is survived by one son, Wayne Carol Aldridge of Pleasureville; two daughters, Linda Payton and Janet Stivers, both of Pleasureville; one brother, David Booth of Shelbyville; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, June 19, at Crossroads Lighthouse Church in Eminence. Interment was in Point Pleasant Cemetery. Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville was in charge of arrangements. Krista Jo Grace, 41, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at her residence in Lawrenceburg. She was born Feb. 22, 1974 in Lexington and was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Grace Sr.; grandparents, Forest Evert and Jessie Marie Brown, and William and Mary Grace. Survivors include her mother Dora Brown Hardin of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Shelbyville; her fianc‚e, Tom "Booster" Doss; three sisters, Mary Jarrell and Tracy Durham, both of Lawrenceburg, and Brenda Michelle Grace of Hazard; a brother, Charles E. Grace Jr. of Lawrenceburg; an uncle, Tommy Brown of Waddy. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 22 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Joyce Mefford McNamara Lopez, 80, of Eminence, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Crestview Nursing Center. Daughter of the late Sandy P. and Nellie Mae Elliston Mefford, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John P. McNamara. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at New Castle Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.

Swindler, Earl Goodwin - Louisville  
Earl Goodwin Swindler, 96, of Louisville and formerly of Cropper, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was born Sept. 17, 1918, and was the son of the late Jesse Lang and Georgia Nell Wilhoit Swindler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Louise Hall Swindler; and a daughter, Erlene Swindler. He is survived by two daughters, Connie S. Price of Georgetown and Janice Seymour of Louisville; sister, Corinne McGowan; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, June 20, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Burial was in Pleasureville Cemetery. Jean Doris Rearden Tipton, 84, of Shelbyville, formerly of Eminence, died on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Masonic Home Shelbyville. Born in Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Tilden Rearden Sr., and Kathryn Samples Rearden, and the widow of William Hoover Tipton. A member of the Cropper Baptist Church, she was a homemaker and retired as a seamstress from the Logan Uniform Company. Survivors include her sons, Michael Dale Tipton and his wife, Alice, of Graefenburg, and Kenneth Ray Tipton and his wife, Judy, of Waddy; daughters, Patricia Ann Sanford and her husband, David, and Charlotte Marie Hill and her husband, Lynn, all of Shelbyville; brother, Franklin T. "Sonny" Rearden Jr. of Lockport; sisters, Clara Hutcherson of Frankfort, Mildred Martin of Shelbyville, Louise Martin of Simpsonville, and Betty Sanford of Shelbyville; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville, with Rev. Jim Cavender officiating. Interment will be in the Cropper Cemetery in Cropper. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was a member of Shelby Christian Church. He was a truck driver and mechanic. He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Botkin (Bubba), Berea; son, Matthew Brunner, Louisville; sisters, Patti Gaston, Arlene Cook, Nancie Brunner; brother, Larry Brunner (Beverly), all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Keyana Brunner, Miley Brunner, Bentley Brunner, Lexus Brunner and Tesla Brunner. Memorial service will be 6 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Saturday until time of service. Burial will be at a later date.
