Beach, Gwendolyn D. - Shelbyville  
The Almighty God in his infinite wisdom allowed the angel of death to carry the soul of our beloved mother Gwendolyn D. Beach to her eternal reward on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. She was born on Feb. 12, 1957, in Shelbyville, and the daughter of Ms. Ann Lee Elzy of Shelbyville and the late Charles Marshall. She was reared in Shelbyville and attended Shelbyville High School. Gwen, as she was affectionately called was a person that loved life and her family. She was an outgoing and friendly person with a radiant smile. She is survived by her beloved mother, Ms. Anna Lee Elzy; one loving son, James Michael Beach of Shelbyville; three loving and devoted daughters, Tavares Hayes (Thomas Jr.), Cushena Beach and Gwentessa Hardy (Carlos), all of Shelbyville; three Brothers, Michael Beach and Stefan Elzy, Charles Byron Marshall all of Shelbyville; six sisters, Clarissa Elzy of Kansas, Charlotte Elzy, Debbie Haliburton, Charlene Stone (Marshall), Kim Donahue, all of Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-Grandchild. Visitation will be on Monday, July 27, 2015 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 212 Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Shelbyville, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Walker officiating, Robert Marshall is the host pastor. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Shelbyville. Online Condolences may be left at www.southernoaksfuneralhome.com . Bottoms, Bonita Martin - Brooks  
Bonita Martin Bottoms, 72, of Brooks, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at her residence. Born in Spencer County, she was the daughter of the late J. H. and Lula Maddox Martin. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sherleeta Kaye Martin and her first husband, Gary B. Johnson. Her survivors include her husband, J. R. Bottoms of Brooks; sister, Phyllis I. Martin of Louisville; stepchildren, Vicki MacFarlane, Paula Butler and James Bottoms; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 24 at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville. Interment will be in the Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at the funeral home. Jennings, Mary Elizabeth Gregory - Shelbyville  
Mary Elizabeth Gregory Jennings, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. She was a member of Cross Keys Worship Center and a former employee of the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Jerome Jennings. She is survived by her son, Howard Jennings (Kim), of Frankfort; daughters, Barbara Hilbert (Mark) of Lawrenceburg, and Patricia Lutz (Dennis) of Shelbyville; brother, John Gregory, of Chatsworth, Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Jennings, Tabitha Hawkins (Kevin), Kizzie Henderson (Lucas), and Andrew Pittman; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial is at Grove Hill Cemetery.
