Edna M. Gilpin Werder

Edna M. Gilpin Werder, 84, Shelbyville and formerly of Jeffersontown, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville following a long illness. A native of Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Gilpin, Bertie Cox Gilpin Troutman and Albert Troutman. She was an office manager in the automotive industry prior to her retirement. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Jeffersontown.
In addition to her parents, her husband, John Joseph Werder, Jr.; one sister, Patsy Wright; one brother, Bob Troutman and her companion, Roscoe Willis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela R. Ballinger of Shelbyville; one son, Charles T. Werder of Murrell's Inlet, SC; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 1, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church in Jeffersontown. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
