Marilyn Morrison Miller, 78, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 in Richmond. She was born January 12, 1935 in Louisville and was the daughter of the late Mary Bess and Ira H. Morrison. She was preceded in death by Chester W. Scheler, former husband and Robert B. Miller, former husband. Also preceding her in death was a daughter Mary Ann McAllister, two brothers Richard H. Morrison and Robert F. Morrison. She is survived by her husband Charles Taylor and 4 children; Todd Scheler of Berea, David Scheler of Chicago, Ill., Joel Scheler of Oneida, TN.; her daughter; Laura Miller Rupers of Georgia; one brother; Harry K. Morrison; and 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Marilyn was a loving mother and nana as well as an active member of St. Mildred's Catholic Church where she served as a greeter. Marilyn was involved with the Lion's Club, and American Cancer Society, where she started the non-smoking class recovery and she volunteered with Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Marilyn will be remembered for her sense of humor as well as the way she reached out to those who were overlooked or forgotten in her community. Marilyn worked for Dr's Bill and Katherine King for many years and retired in 1997. Visitation for Marilyn will be on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m. at St. Mildred's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Marilyn had requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
