Phyllis Jean Stivers Herrell, age 80, of Shelbyville, formerly of Pleasureville, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Crescent Place in Shelbyville. She was born in Elmburg and was the daughter of the late Lindsay and Willie Nelson Stivers. She was retired from the Henry County Heath Department and Henry County Clinic as an office coordinator. She was a member of Elmburg Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Phillip Brent Herrell (Jennifer) of Shelbyville; two daughters, Penny Rae Jones of Radcliff and Donna Jean Chowning of Lexington; three grandchildren, Nathan Chowning, Joshua Brent Herrell and Lindsay Grace Herrell. She was preceded in death by a sister, Waldine Stivers. Funeral services were Thursday, July 3 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Interment was in Defoe Cemetery.
