Bonnie Jean Beavin Roberts, 70, Shelbyville, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. A native of Southern Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Mary Tilley Beavin. She graduated from Providence High School, Class of 1961 in New Albany, IN. She was a loving mother and homemaker for many years and later worked in bookkeeping with Army Air Force Exchange Services in Jeffersonville, IN. She volunteered with Mended Hearts in the Heart Units at Baptist Hospital East and Norton Audubon Hospital. She was the treasurer of the Cover Lovers Quilting Group in Shelbyville, a Girl Scout Leader for many years and the former coach of the Bonnie Belles Softball Team. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation, where she previously taught at Vacation Bible School. Survivors include her husband of 23 years, William C. Roberts of Shelbyville; two sons, Gregory (Tracy) Popp of Sellersburg, IN and Michael Bryan Popp of Shelbyville; two daughters, Leesa Marie Popp (Jeff Parker) of Munfordville, KY and Jennifer Lynn (Scott) Van Vactor of Shepherdsville, KY; three stepchildren, Adam (Lindsey) Roberts of Louisville, Tommy Roberts of Shelbyville and Cindy Roberts of Simpsonville; one sister, Susan Hopson of Littleton, CO; one brother, Terry (Tanja) Beavin of Greenville, IN and nine grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Church of the Annunciation, 105 Main Street in Shelbyville by Father Mike Tobin. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m., Wednesday and 8:30 ? 9:30 a.m., Thursday at Webb Funeral Home at 1144 Main Street in Shelbyville. Cremation will follow the funeral.
