Donald Joseph Cain, 78, of Stanford, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Born June 19, 1934, he was the son of the late Leonard Earl and Erie Estes Cain. He was a farmer in the Turnersville community, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a faithful Christian. He was a member of the Moreland Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Coleen Lawrence Cain; son, Joe (Joan) Cain of Springfield; daughter, Judy (Darrell) White of Waddy; and seven grandchildren: Jon-Michael, Jordan, Joseph, and Josh Cain and Austin (Evelyn), Adam and Rachel White. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Kelley and Madaline Durham. Services will be at 12 noon, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Rev. Aaron Snelling and Rev. David Smith with burial in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are nephews: Steve Kelley, George B. Elliott and Brian Singleton and grandsons. Visitation 5:30-9 pm, Tuesday.
