Elizabeth Ann Hay, 10, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Kosair's Children Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Lexington and had been a fifth grader at the Clear Creek Elementary School in Shelbyville. She had been attending Shelbyville First Baptist Church where she had been active in the Girls in Action missions program. She was preceded in death by her great grandfather, Jesse Gooding.
She was survived by her father, Thomas Hay of Shelbyville; her mother, Kimberly Gooding of Georgetown; her brothers, Tommy Hay and Bryce Husband, both of Shelbyville; her sister, Ellie Hay of Shelbyville; her grandparents, Rebecca Wells of Kansas, Thomas Lee Hay of Kansas, Sharon Harmon of Lexington, John Gooding of Flemingsburg, Blythe and Maryanne Collings of Shelbyville, and Dick Miller of Shelbyville; her great-grandparents, Maxine Gooding of Flemingsburg, Lloyd Davidson of Kansas, and Roy Collings of Shelbyville.
Visitation was at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville for family and friends of the father and at the Versailles Baptist Church at 125 East Green Street in Versailles for family and friends of the mother. Funeral services for family and friends of the mother were June 19 at the Versailles Baptist Church. For family and friends of the father, there was a graveside funeral service June 19 at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 3250 Versailles Road in Frankfort.
