James E. Walters, 93, of Middletown, KY, passed away December 31, 2012. He was a retired educator of JCPS and band director of Bell and Shelby Counties. James is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Harkness Walters and son-in-law, Clayton Daniels. His survivors include his children, James R. Walters (Jane), Sherry Ferguson (Maner) and Trudy Daniels; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Woodland Baptist Church, 809 N. Pope Lick Rd., Middletown, KY, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 12:00 pm., with burial at Middletown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Woodland Baptist Building Program or to the Ruth Walters Offering to Sunrise Children's Services.
