Joseph ?Joe? Pickens


Joseph ?Joe? Pickens, 89, of Caldwell County, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at his home. Born on Sept. 11, 1923, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Libert Dow and James Myrtle Pickens. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Gray Pickens; sisters, Margaret Louise Pickens and Mary Elizabeth Pickens; and brothers, Libert Dow Pickens Jr. and James Edward Pickens. He served his country in WWII. Survivors include daughters, Anna Jo Pickens Wyman of Evansville, Ind. and Tracy Pickens Miller of Shelbyville. In addition he leaves behind a very devoted and beloved friend, Peggy D. Mitchell. Services were Sunday at Morgan?s Funeral Home in Princeton with burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
