Josephine Elizabeth Haggard Hawkins, 92, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, the 8th day of January, 2014, at her residence. A native of Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Webb and Lucien Hayes Haggard, and the widow of James Spaulding Hawkins. A homemaker, she was a member of the Finchville Baptist Church where she was formerly active in Sunday school. She enjoyed gardening and was an auction and yard sale enthusiast. Her survivors include her son, Wayne Hawkins and his wife, Wanda, of Finchville; her daughters, Delores Brooks of Simpsonville and Judy Floyd and her husband, Glenn, of Bagdad; her grandchildren, Darryl Brooks, Sandy Runner, Kevin Floyd, Beth Allison and Amanda Hawkins; and her five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Saturday, the 11th day of January, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with Rev. Jay Tigner officiating. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, 10 January, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville.
