Josephine (Bailey) Raymer, age 88, of Eminence, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville. Josephine was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church, The Fidelis Class and the Women's Missionary Union. She was the daughter of the late William and Hallie (Barbour) Bailey. She is survived by her husband, Herschel Raymer of Eminence; daughters Barbara Sutton (Louisville), Rebecca Rayer (Eminece); sisters Willa Mae Barbour (Louisville) and Lois Parrott (Eminence); her brother Leslie Bailey (Shelbyville); grandchildren Ashley Raymer-Brown (Brian Barker) of Cropper, Ryan Raymer-Brown of Eminence, Lauren Weber (Andrew) of Louisville and Adam Raymer-Brown of Shelbyville.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Ed Life of Smithfield and assisted by Bro. Bo Irvin, pastor of Smithfield Baptist Church. Visitation was 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Smithfield Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dwight Raymer, Lloyd Gray, Larry Potts, and Tom Potts. Active pallbearers will be Gary Bailey, Don Carpenter, Ron Carpenter, Doug Raymer, Gene Raymer and Rick Raymer. Memorial Contributions may be made to Smithfield Baptist Church Building Fund.
