Mrs. Gerald J. Wilson (Lucye) passed away at the Masonic Home Ð the Pillars on Saturday, Dec. 1. She had been a resident of the Pillars for the past four years and was formerly a resident of Mayfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gerald; her parents, Reuben and Mildred Wilfred, and her brother and sister. She was secretary to the principal at Mayfield High School for 30 years and an active member of First Baptist Church for 52 years in Mayfield until her move to Shelbyville in 2007. Survivors include her daughter, Lillie W. Hall and son-in-law, David of Shelbyville; granddaughter, Sarah E. Moore of Auxvasse, Mo.; grandson-in-law, Christopher; four great-grandsons, Christian, Collin, Colton and Cayden; and one great-granddaughter, Katherine of Louisville. Visitation and funeral services were at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield on Dec. 4 with Rev. Guy Futral officiating. Interment was at Memory Gardens in Mayfield. The family request expressions of sympathy to the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.
