Mabel Morrow Cox, 98, of Shelbyville, died on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. Born in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Chester and Flossie Merritt Bowman Morrow, and the widow of Earl Clinton Cox. Survivors include her son, Wayne Cox of Elk Creek; daughter, Sue Roberts of Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville. Interment will follow in Valley Cemetery of Taylorsville. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday, at Hall-Taylor in Shelbyville, with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Immanuel Baptist Church of Shelbyville, and online condolences may be expressed at www.halltaylorfuneralhomes.com.
